This Thriving Musician Is Using His Sobriety As Inspiration

This is very exciting. 

This is our first recovery interview. We plan to interview hundreds of people doing great things with their sober lives. We are starting off with Joe Nester, who is KILLIN IT with his music.

Joe belongs to the label Recovering Artists Worldwide. He plays all over South Florida and recently did a national tour. Check out Joe's voice in the video below!

First off. Tell us your name and a little bit about yourself.

My name is Joe Nester and I am a recovering heroin addict who is currently signed to a recovery record label called Recovering Artists worldwide.

What role does recovery play in your life?

Recovery is the biggest thing in my life right now. My life revolves around my recovery

Explain to us what you are working on. Do you have any projects in the works? What do you love to do?

I am currently working on my new upcoming EP. I love creating heartfelt recovery music that people can relate to and feel in their soul!

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of overcoming my battles with addictions and recreating a life beyond my wildest dreams!

If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is struggling, what would it be?

Find a higher power. Get close and build a relationship with that higher power. Find a sponsor and thoroughly work the steps. Make meetings and spread the message.
